Currently, we are looking to fill the following positions:

 

Animal Care Technician:We are a unique, veteran-owned and operated pet care facility looking for hard-working pet lovers interested in long term employment and that are eager to learn about pet care. We are a growing company and have a tight-knit group of caring individuals who work hard to create a successful and positive environment for our guests. The position is more than just cuddling puppies. Our facility is set up very differently from most other facilities. We are an up-scale activity-based facility, focused on client care.

Each day you will be spending time developing relationships with the pets, maintaining a clean & safe environment, working with your fellow team members - sharing information, listening, learning, being willing to jump in. We have a long term, positive, and fun-loving staff that treat each other like family. Our clients are the best clients around and we have great reviews to show for it. We depend on our team members to provide exceptional care to both our human and pet clients in order to foster an atmosphere of respect, integrity and teamwork! We pride ourselves on cross-training our team members for long-term employment, lots of variety and so team members can work together to give exceptional care to our guests.

Our staff is cross-trained in every aspect of the facility. Everyone works caring for boarding pets, loving them, cleaning their suites, add on activities, feeding and medication. Working in the grooming salon or giving baths and nail trims and brush outs. Working in our fast paced doggy daycare and working the very busy front desk. Must have basic computer skills and customer service.

Our facility is staffed 365 days a year and is exceptionally busy on weekends and when schools are on holiday recess. Experience is desired, however a genuine love for animals is even more important to us. We are looking for team members that: * Are able to handle dogs of all sizes without being afraid of them and without allowing them to control them. · Are in good physical condition, able to squat, stoop, bend, lift, and do a lot of walking. · Are willing to maintain the highest standards in cleanliness. It can be a very physical job and everybody cleans - mopping, scrubbing, as well as cleaning pee, poop and drool. · Are able to be on their feet the entire shift, lift 50 pounds and are able to move quickly. · Are able to work outside in all weather, as needed. Additionally, we want to know that, · You Are Dependable – being a few minutes early for work is normal for you. You look at what the great day ahead spent with dogs will bring. Our team knows they can count on you to do whatever it is you are assigned with excellence. · You Love the Details – As a team, we want to make sure each guests’ needs are met. From medications to meals, play times to pampering, it is all in the details to make our guests stay the best it can be. · You Are a Team Player – you want the best for the dogs that are staying with us and work as a team member to get that accomplished. You add to the conversation and brainstorm with fellow team members on ways to make the experience more enriching. · You Are a Goal-Setter – you have goals for your work and for yourself.

We have educational opportunities and areas that you can grow in as you deepen your experience in the pet care field. We are offering PT to FT positions (which can lead to more hours). You must be available to work weekend shifts and during all major holidays/busy seasons. There are great opportunities for advancement, if you excel in your work and once you complete training. Our pay range is $13-$15/hour and depends on experience & completing our training program. We don’t hire to just fill a spot. Rather, we take our time looking for the right people. Grooming Assistant: Must have one year professional experience in a grooming salon.

We have part-time to full-time opening for dog and cat bather/ brushers. The job requires that you know how to safely bath, brush, deshed, some scissor work, use a force air dryer to dry the pet, clip nails, clean ears, remove hair from ear canal if needed, scissor face, feet, fanny, fly always, take dogs waiting to be groomed for walks, ensure they always have water, and keep the salon clean. The grooming assistant will also help customers who want to use the do it yourself pet washing stations. Hours vary based on needs. .

Additional tasks will include helping in the boarding kennel, doggy daycare and reception desk as needed.

This is an hourly W2 paid position with tips.
