Currently, we are looking to fill the following positions:
Finish Pet Groomer (Dog and Cat): We are looking for a full-time dog groomer with top-notch grooming skills and experience, including talented scissor work, and great customer service. The ideal candidate is friendly and works well in a close-knit environment with other groomers and personnel, as well as having a positive, gentle attitude toward pets. Our pet grooming salon is proud of the care we take and the quality work we turn out. If you are as proud of your dog grooming skills as we are of our pet groomers, their kind treatment of pets, and their outstanding final product, contact us for an appointment so we can show you around and take a look at your portfolio. This is a commissioned based job. Your commission rate will depend on your certifications and experience. All groomers are required to supply their own equipment.
Hours needed: Monday- Saturday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm or when completed. Hours are based on the amount of dogs you have scheduled for the day.
Kennel Attendant Positions (full-time and part-time): We have full and part-time opening as part of our Dog Daycare and Kennel team working directly with the dogs in our care. We are looking for reliable, dependable team members who are passionate about animals, willing to work with groups of dogs, get along well with people, and willing to work on weekends and holidays. We have both full-time and part-time positions available. Prior experience working with dogs is helpful but is not required.
Hours needed: Sunday- Saturday
Part time- 6:00 am – 9:00 am
5:00 pm- 9:00 pm
Full Time- Mon-Sat
8:30 am – 5:00 pm
12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Daycare Attendants (full-time and part-time): Our dog daycare is a fun and active place for dogs to enjoy the company of other canines and burn off some energy. There is certainly no lack of activity in this environment. Think you can keep up? Candidates should be confident in their dog handling skills, have an understanding of pack behavior with the ability to remain calm and react to aggressive play. The attendant’s job is to keep the dogs safe and happy. That means engaging them in play, supervising their interactions with each other and stifling unwanted behaviors.
Hours needed: weekday FT/PT shifts scheduled between 7:00 am-6:00 pm Monday-Friday. Some weekends will be required.
Dog Trainers (part-time): Tail Topia is looking for experienced dog trainers that have been instructing for at least 2 years and have one of the following certifications: CPDT-KA, CPDT-KSA, ACAAB, CDBC, CAAB, CABC, CCAB, DACVB. Must have availability to teach classes on weekends and week nights. Instructors should be well-versed in basic and advanced training techniques to include agility training and other specialized programs, have a professional, up-beat attitude, and view teaching classes as a partnership between trainer and student. We have commissioned, hourly and independent contractor positions open.
Bather/ Brusher: We have full and part-time opening for dog and cat bather/ brushers. Must be able to prepare the animals for the grooming. The job requires that you know how to safely bath, use a force air dryer to dry the pet, clip nails, clean ears, remove hair from ear canal if needed, take dogs waiting to be groomed for walks, ensure they always have water, and keep the salon clean. The bather/ brusher will also help customers who want to use the do it yourself pet washing stations. Hour are dependent on the groomers need.
